Message From the Mayor
Well, we’re coming to the end of another exciting year in the Village of Manlius. We were fortunate to receive another grant of $1.4 million from the Governor to continue the revitalization of our Main Street Business District. This current grant funding will go towards revitalizing three large projects on Seneca Street. One of these projects is close to completion, and the other two are in the development stage.
Most of our Main Street projects, along with several of our Park’s projects, are completed or close to being completed. If you have the opportunity to visit the Seneca Street Arts & Entertainment District you will see several new changes and additions. A.W. Wander has added a new lighted patio for outdoor seating, the Manlius Cinema is currently installing new seating, 123 Seneca St. has completed façade improvements to the front of their building, along with revitalizations to Buffoons, Liberty Square, and Bruegger’s.
If you haven’t had a chance to stop in and visit the Manlius Supply Co. in the newly renovated 209-217 E. Seneca St. Building, please take a few minutes to see what the store has to offer. While you’re close by, stop in and try some of the food at Wish Thai.
In the Spring your children will be able to enjoy the new playground equipment recently installed in Mill Run Park along with percussion equipment for their musical enjoyment. If the weather cooperates this winter, we plan to have the ice skating and sledding at the Village Centre, and with the help of our local High School Arts Honor Students we have wonderful art projects on display throughout the Village with more to come this Spring.
I will be presenting my State of the Village Address on January 29, 2025, at 6:00pm at the Village Centre Auditorium. Everyone is welcome to attend.

I have advised the Village Board that I will not be seeking re-election for Mayor this coming March. I would like to thank the entire Village Community for your support and cooperation over the past 12 years. I would also like to thank the businesses that have participated in revitalizing our Village Business District, and of course our excellent High School Arts Honor Students for beautifying our Streets and Parks.
I hope everyone has a Wonderful Holiday Season and a Joyous New Year.
Thank you,
Mayor Paul Whorrall
